What are you believing today?

I can't stress enough how little effort it takes to change your life by changing your story/beliefs. You will see it reflected back to you the minute you do. Start small - penguin steps to infinite possibilites. Think about the small steps that penguins take, as if they have their pants around their ankles, and yet they traverse Continents! Your participation will reap large compliance by a responsive Universe. In the sage words of our friend, Abraham, "A belief is nothing more than a chronic pattern of thought, and you have the ability—if you try even a little bit—to begin a new pattern, to tell a new story, to achieve a different vibration, to change your point of attraction." Lots can happen, today. Change your story and the words you consistently use to tell that story and your life will change. It has to, it is one of those sweet laws of the Universe.

Remember, your biography becomes your biology. I believe those were the wise words of Christiane Northrup. There is study after study to prove it. Lynne McTaggart has research to substantiate the claim that the stories we believe about our lives and the words we continue to use to back-up those stories, affect our biology. Our beliefs will even trump a path designated by our own DNA. People who were destined for certain diseases, according to their genetic map, didn't get them because they chose to believe a better story. The way we age even changes, as our beliefs about it change. Want to improve your life, change your beliefs. Beliefs aren't set in stone. They are just thoughts we keep on thinking and talking about. Not only do they set a course for our future, they can be disturbing elements in our present. Alter your story even a little bit and watch how quickly your life reflects back the change. It's astounding, in fact.

I listened to a very talented, very smart friend of mine tell me about his congenital problems and how he is destined to a future that will surely rob him of his talent. Talk about a depressing thought and a downer of a harbinger! And yet, he spoke of it as if it were true, a fact, but why? Because the medical industry told him? It makes me think of Maya Angelou who told doctors, when they told her that her son might never walk again, "Thank you, but I've consulted a higher authority." And of course, her son ultimately walked out of that hospital. She didn't want to believe that story even if there were "facts" to prove it. We are spiritual beings living a physical experience. There is so much more of us that is spiritual, all-knowing and connected to a Source that can heal and deliver to us our hearts desire. Would you rather be "right or happy?" - As A Course In Miracles asks. Change your beliefs, even if they are rooted in fact, change your words, even if it's a little every day. I encouraged my friend to respond to inquiries about his health by saying, "I am healthy and strong and getting more so every day. I can feel my restoration back to vital health and I'm going to blow my doctors away." Let your words direct your life and watch your happiness factor grow beyond your wildest expectations.
